Process

Standardized project implementation processes are the basis of ATEX’s operation. Full control at every stage of a specific implementation allows us to always ensure repeatability and the highest quality.

This is confirmed by the impressive number of inter-operational ATEX inspections carried out over the last two years, amounting to 13,264!

Most importantly, we manage to maintain a balance between procedures and flexibility, which is reflected in the speed of work and the timely implementation of projects.

At ATEX, project development is of the highest priority, which is why we have created a proprietary program called “6 steps to innovation, development and success”.

Step one – TEAM:

One of the most important factors in the effective development of client projects is the selection of the right team – especially when we think about innovative solutions. That is why ATEX employs people for whom technology is not only a professional challenge but also a passion. Experience, continuous development and continuous learning enable our R&D team to create innovative solutions. All members of the R&D team have high technological and communication skills, which allow them to work effectively in a team of specialists. It is essential that the R&D department is managed by a manager who combines the world of business and the customer approach with the world of technology. Thanks to this, the team leader is well versed in entrusted projects, both from a technological point of view and from a business point of view.
We always remember that the development of a project can go in different ways – depending on the requirements of the customer. Thus, we can prepare several options for project validation and together choose the most effective solution.

Step two – PREPARATION OF THE PROJECT “STAGE 1”

“Stage 1” starts the development of the project, it includes: a project concept, a bill of materials, a list of tools and devices required to complete the project.
“Stage 1” also includes:

– constant contact with the client to discuss all the details,
– redesign if necessary to adapt to the technology
– conferences and direct meetings with the client, if necessary on the client’s premises
– preparation of 3D models and 2D documentation
– production of an initial prototype

Step three – PREPARATION OF THE PROJECT “STAGE 2”

“Stage 2” brings the next steps in the development of the project. In this phase, we focus on analyzing the design assumptions and checking the functionality of the project offered by our R&D department.
Computer simulation research is especially important:

– CFD simulation,
– FEA calculations: Modal analysis (natural frequencies), Thermo-mechanical analysis (temperature cycling),
– acoustic calculation (1D, 3D).

Through simulation tests, we obtain confirmation of the correct design and technological assumptions. After computer simulation, we can proceed to prototype production and assembly on machines, or develop studies and validate design assumptions in the laboratory.

Step four – PREPARATION OF THE PROJECT “STAGE 3”

We call “Stage 3” the functionality stage. It consists of laboratory tests, during which we use data provided by the customer (vibration profile).
An alternative is to have ATEX generated a vibration profile on the machine.
In “Stage 3”, the design assumptions and simulation tests are checked on a physical product, i.e. a prototype. If necessary, the ATEX team of engineers is ready to visit the customer’s premises to download the relevant data from the machines and process them in our laboratory.
The tests in the laboratory include:
– Evaluation,
– Product Durability:
a. Vibration Tables – shaker – cold & hot
b. Thermal Aging Test Be
c. Environmental Chambers
d. Tensile / Compression Tester

– Flow & Thermal
– Acoustic

Step five – PREPARATION OF THE PROJECT “STAGE 4”

“STAGE 4” brings us closer to finalizing the project development process. As part of this, we carry out a series of tests and control – after consultation with the client – the selected validation areas, which verify the functionality of the project in all areas of use. These include:

– assembly test
– confirmation of the back pressure in the system
– confirmation of the required temperatures
– checking the acoustic parameters
– field test (specified number of hours)

Step six – PREPARATION OF THE PROJECT “STAGE 5”

The sixth step is the last one in the project development process for the R&D department. The tests carried out to confirm that all design and technological assumptions, as well as the customer’s requirements, have been met. At the end of the “6 Steps to Innovation, Growth and Success” program is the production of an official prototype and submission of PPAP Level 2 or PPAP Level 3.

At ATEX we are committed to the principle that conscious development and investment in R&D is a priority today. Only then will we be able to provide our customers with innovative solutions that will define market trends and keep them one step ahead of the competition.
