The tank is made of deep-drawing sheet, symbol DC04, 2mm thick. Inside the tank there are a couple of baffles that stiffen the tank and limit moving of the fuel itself inside the tank. ATEX tanks are painted with epoxy paints.

Inside the tanks we mount fuel level sensors of 72W, 180W, 330W and 500W as well as fuel mixers.

Tank mounting parts
In 2005 ATEX fuel tanks were tested by the Automotive Industry Institute PIMOT from Warsaw to check the welds in tanks mounting parts. The welds of the mounting parts (brackets and bands) turned out to be more durable than the welds between other steel elements.

ATEX as the first company in Poland also offers fuel oil tanks used to heat a vehicle's cabin. Such tanks are normally mounted in city busses to reduce the cost of heating. Regular fuel is not used for heating when ATEX fuel oil tanks are mounted on a vehicle.
