Production

processes

All the components for ATEX silencers are manufactured using CNC machines. We possess:

Swiss punch press
Japanese turret punch press
Italian 4 rolls plate bending machine

Every 2 year ATEX has their exhaust silencers tested against UN-ECE regulation no. 59 for their noise reduction efficiency. Test results can be downloaded from

Materials used in ATEX

production processes

To reduce noise levels ATEX exhaust silencers are sound insulated with BIOSIL or EGLASS produced by a renowned German company DBW BURGER AG.

To manufacture our exhaust silencers we use hot-dip[ aluminum coated sheet metal from ThyssenKrupp, Germany and ArcelorMittal, France.

The silencer's advanced construction together with its high-quality sound insulation reduce allow great noise level reduction with efficient engine running. The internal module of the silencer is connected to the external coating with a weld of an appropriate width.

To prevent any cracks or vibration while running, end and internal baffles have an additional stiffening rib.

The silencer's brackets are made of 4mm thick sheet, CNC laser cut and bent with AMADA CNC press break, which guarantees 100% detail repeatability.

Coat seal - a weld was in 2001 replaced by a FLAT JOINT lock.

ATEX uses top quality hot-dip aluminum-coated sheet metal 1.75 mm thick. The aluminum coat is 120g/m2 thick, which makes the silencer much more corrosion-resistant compared to parts made of black sheet.

Bracket made of sheet metal To prevent tearing the bolts mounting the silencer to the vehicle away, ATEX, unlike other manufacturers, uses 2.5 mm thick sheet under the coating and welds sleeves to it.

To reduce the number of weld the coat consists of two elements. Also, our coat shaping tool eliminates any sheet thinning. ATEX coatings are made using the same technology as the one used for manufacturing original parts.
